Welcome to the Villa, Green Country Behavioral Health Services' Child and Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Unit. The Villa fosters a protective, supportive environment designed to deliver treatment for children and adolescents 10 through 17 years of age.
The Villa operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and is fully staffed with behavioral health clinicians and nursing staff. The unit is a secure facility offering a structured daily setting for adolescents experiencing mental health and/or behavioral difficulties.
Children and adolescents will receive a comprehensive evaluation by a behavioral health professional. Upon entrance into our program, professional staff will assist the child and their guardian in developing a plan for treatment. This plan will focus on the specific needs of the child. Our services include structured group activities and behavior management, as well as medication management when deemed medically necessary. Each child attending our program will participate in group, individual and family therapy.
Family members are a vital part of treatment and are encouraged to become actively involved in the process to develop a better understanding of the child's behavior and special needs.
The Villa offers services to children and adolescents in need of assessment and/or treatment for the following: Depression, Suicidal thoughts, Anxiety, Drug and /or Alcohol Abuse, Behavioral Changes, Excessive Weight Gain or Loss, Aggressive or Acting Out Behaviors and other Emotional / Behavioral Problems.
The Villa staff work to meet the following goals: 1) Provide a child-friendly environment, which reduces the trauma associated with out-of-home relocation. 2) Connect adolescents with wraparound care, coordinating services or case management when they are discharged from the Villa 3) Help children and their support systems establish a healthy pattern of crisis resolution.
